So...How DID WE
GET HERE?

let's start
at The
Beginning...

Ross and Victoria first crossed paths in 2018 at the Royal Hotel during a first aid course. Ross remembers it vividly. Victoria does not.

What he does remember is meeting a tall, blonde woman who quickly became “the boss”, which immediately ruled out any flirty banter while he was still employed there. Victoria insists she played hard to get. Ross insists she did not.

Either way, once he handed in his notice, the rules relaxed and we went on our first official date on 27 December 2022. Things moved fairly quickly after that, mostly because it felt natural and made sense.

WHAT THAT
LED TO

Since then, life has been a mix of travelling the world, laughing a lot, and settling into something that feels easy. They still take the piss out of each other constantly and have a shared rule of calling anything overly nice or sentimental “gay", which probably says more about them than we would admit.

Ross’s first love, Celtic, put up a good fight, but many a game has now been missed in favour of quality time together. What has stayed the same is the humour, the comfort, and the fact that they genuinely enjoy doing life side by side.

Looking ahead, they are excited for more travel, more memories, and eventually the pitter patter of some very big baby footsteps.

...this website is far too gay for them.

The proposal

Ross proposed on 23 April 2025 at the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, armed with a £19.99 Argos ring.

Photos were taken beforehand, during which Victoria commented that he looked odd, mainly because he refused to take his hands out of his pockets. This was, in hindsight, a giveaway.

After waiting for a quiet moment, Ross finally mustered the courage, turned around, and got down on one knee. At which point he was immediately confronted by a full bus of Taiwanese schoolchildren, standing in silence with completely blank expressions. Victoria, understandably, was less focused on the audience.

Her immediate response was, “What? Are you taking the piss?” before saying yes.

While the ring did its job perfectly at the time, there was a quick visit to Beaverbrooks once they got home, just to be absolutely clear that the Argos one was not a permanent fixture.

One more thing...

COME DRESSED IN YOUR BEST!

No football colours
...not even Celtic.
